Transition LAB is proud to present the next vinyl release. The fifth release will continue the limited “Lab Series”. Volume 2 is a stellar four-tracker, two smooth and dubby cuts by Optimist. The B-side welcomes Mirror 1 with two dancefloor focussed techno excursions.

Optimist is a timeless project. The place is indefinite and the ideas are constantly in evolution. It’s a parallel project which can’t be framed in ordinary musical patterns. Optimist is made by two producers whose identity keeps hidden behind a plot of ethereal and indistinct sounds. Their music is characterized by melodic and repetitive lines, together with insistent groove. By making new musical forms, the mix of different genres which interact with one another creates a kind of parallel universe.

Mirror 1 was born tomorrow. He’s that dark soul reflected into a dusty 100-years-old mirror. You can’t figure out if what you see is real or if it is all a figment of your imagination. Music is his way of revealing the subconscious, digging deep into your soul and understanding that our dreams may become reality. Research and experimentation prove that our artistic roots go much deeper than we think. There is a mirror in each one of us.
